The recent elections in our country have brought long lines of voters to our poles. The impact on our country balances on wether the Democrates or Republicans take the majority. President Bush's problems will only get worse if the democrates take the majority. Terrence Hunt from ajc.com writes "Shut out of power for a dozen years and bitter at Bush for ignoring them, Democrats would demand a role in setting the nation's agenda and throw up roadblocks to the president's plans. Pressuring Bush on Iraq, Democrats would have subpoena powers to investigate the president's conduct of the war and to demand accountability." The democrates would attemp to block any of Bush's big plans during his last two years in office. The Republican party and Bush's reputation may be damaged by democrats shedding light on what they believe to be many scandals during the Bush addministration. The current elections will have a long term effect when the next presidential elections take place.
